About the Library

The Library of Poznan University of Technology is an institution committed to and empowered by science, information and technology. It is a centre of information with a good working environment for teaching and research available for PUT academic staff, students and the engineering community of Wielkopolska region.

The Library, an integral part of the University, carries out exploratory and research activities contributing to development of library and information services available for its staff and students.

The Library’s collections contain more than 850,000 units of broadly understood library materials as well as licensed e-resources, specially tailored to meet the needs of academic staff and students of particular fields of study and specializations available at PUT. The Library offers a remote access to open sources of knowledge and a wide range of library and information services.

PUT Library is a member of the International Association of Technological University Libraries IATUL (from 1999) and of the Poznan Foundation of Scientific Libraries (1996).

The Library has been awarded a Bibliotheca Magna Perennisque medal "for outstanding contribution to librarianship" on March 2013.
