I. Access

a. Authorized

(by means of the Electronic Student ID Card)

Authorized access enables:

  • to return books,
  • to print a transaction proof,
  • to check an account balance,
  • to print an account balance.
  Bring your ID Card close to the reader and wait till the book return opens.

OR
 

Place your ID Card with its barcode facing upwards.

    Wait till the book return opens.

b. Anonymous

(by means of a book)

Anonymous access enables:

  • to return books,
  • to print a transaction proof.
  Bring your book close to the marked point on the wall and wait till the book return opens.

II. Return

 

Put in books one by one with their barcodes facing upwards waiting for the green light to come on before putting in the next book.
Read the information on the screen and follow the instructions.

 

Note! In case the barcode is misread, the book will not be recognized by the system. The system will not recognize the book also when the outer side of the cover bears no barcode.
In such cases the book will remain recorded on the Reader’s account until being removed by a library employee and the return transaction will not be seen on the print-out.
Books returned without being recognized are removed from Readers’ accounts by the end of the next working day. Please monitor your account balance and report any problems.

  Returns can also be done under NO CONNECTION mode (see point VI).
The book return accepts the books but they still remain recorded on the Reader’s account.
Transfer of books from the Reader’s account onto the account of the Library will take place automatically after connection has been restored.

III. TRANSACTION PROOF PRINT-OUT

 

Once all the books have been returned, a transaction proof can be printed. In order to do so, press PRINT RECEIPT button.

In NO CONNECTION (see point VI) and ANONYMOUS ACCESS modes  (see point Ib) the receipt contains a limited amount of information.

IV. Account balance

In order to display the Reader’s account, it is necessary:

  to log on with the Electronic Student ID Card (see point I.a)
  tap the VIEW ACCOUNT.
  The account balance can be printed by tapping PRINT ACCOUNT button.
  The account balance cannot be checked or printed in the NO CONNECTION mode (see point VI)

V. ENDING

  Log out, touching the LOGOUT button (bottom right corner of the screen).

VI. NO CONNECTION

 

Information on lack of connection (Brak połączenia) can be found in the upper left-hand corner of the screen.

NO CONNECTION (Brak połączenia) sign means the book return cannot communicate with the library system. In such a case, the book return functionality is only limited to being able to receive returned books.
