New books from De Gruyter publisher

PUT Library invites you to read the new catalog of Birkhauser (De Gruyter) publisher. Catalog includes books on architecture, landscape architecture and design, which will be published in autumn 2015..

The catalog can also be viewed here, using respectively bookmarks: Architecture, Landscape Architecture and Design. Almost all the titles you can download the sample page using the Print tab Flyer.

We invite you to a webinar organized by EBSCO "The Future of Smart Grid Technology: Leveraging Big Data to Realize the Future Grid".

The seminar program

  • Micro-Grids - Test Beds of Future Grid Technologies
  • Augmented Reality and Advanced Mobile Technologies: Making the Worker as Smart as the Grid

During the training will also be provided opportunities offered by the use of the electronic library IEEE Xplore digital library for obtaining information on the latest technologies and solutions presented in journal articles, conference proceedings, standards, and in the publications of the IEEE Smart Grid Research, including the well-known IEEE Grid Vision 2050.

Participation is free. The seminar will be conducted in English.

Change of the Library opening hours 31.10-1.11.2014

Please note that on Friday 31.10.2014 the Library will be open from 9.00 to 15.00. On Saturday, 1.11.2014 the Library is closed.

Presentation of improved Workstation for students with visual and hearing impairments visual and/or hearing impairments

Library Poznan University of Technology will present an improved workstation for students with visual and hearing impairmens on October 28, 2014, 10.00 am in the Reading Room. The Workstation, functioning in the Library since 2010, has been retrofitted with new electronic equipment purchased with funding from the Social Fund for Rehabilitation of Poznan University of Technology and the "Knowledge Engineering for smart growth" project.

Please note that the publisher SAGE (one of the largest on the research publications market) opens its resources, only in October, and offers free access to a number of publications.

Registration to the access can be done individually.

Opening of the exhibition

will be held in the lobby of Lending Room of PUT Library (ground floor),
on Friday, October 17, at 18.30.

Concert of bassist Łukasz Jędrzycki will feature the opening.

The exhibition will be available

to December 17, 2014.

Update: For reasons beyond the control of the PUT Library exhibition ended on 14.11.2014.
