Computers in the library
PUT Library provides access to the Internet from computers available in the Reading Room. To use the computers readers will need to sign in.
Using Computers in PUT Library - Rules
- on Library premises Internet shall be used only for purposes of scientific research and education;
- all e-resources may be used by PUT staff and students;
- other persons may use information sources that are:
- owned by the Library,
- external, united, non-lisensed.
Access to university's wireless network
Access to wireless networking is available in the Library. Mains sockets to plug in readers’ laptops are available in the Reading Room
Renting laptops and tablets
We offer a laptops and tablets rental service. The laptops and tablets can be used in the PUT Library.
The service is available for staff and PUT students. Laptops are loaned in the Reading Room - 1st floor, Information Desk INFO 4.
Terms of laptops and tablets rental in the PUT Library
- The condition for laptop or tablet rental is to leave a valid identity document (ID card, student identification card, passport or driving license).
- Elevating laptops or tablets outside the Library is prohibited.
- The user assumes full liability for hired equipment (laptop, tablet, power adapter, power cable).
- Lenders are entirely responsible for all activities in the network over the loan of the laptop or tablet.
- You agree to keep your personal data in the "Book of laptops and tablets lending" for a period of one year for law enforcement authorities in case of detecting fraud in network access.
- Installing software on rented equipment is prohibited. All requests and comments on the operated laptop or tablet should be reported to the librarian on duty on Information Desk INFO4.
- The library is not responsible for data left on hard drive of the device.
- Students with disabilities have a priority to hire tablet.
